Shawna Barkey has always had an artistic, rock, and nature loving soul! Becoming an empty nester and moving to Juneau, Alaska has allowed her to chase her creative thoughts and dreams through glass, metals, beach treasures and anything that catches her sparkly eye! Eclectic is fitting… Her neighbor, and founding creator of Spiral Studio taught her metalsmithing, glassworking, and the courage to pursuit all this art! Beach art, fused glass ornaments, glitter/acrylic on canvas, and so much beautiful jewelry have been the primary studio favorites, but the natural inspiration of Southeast Alaska always has Shawna dreaming up more ideas for Spiral Alaska creations!
